about dan:

Daniel Foran, president and founder of Foran Financial Group, is a respected industry leader and educator with over 30 years of experience in financial management. He specializes in retirement planning and income distribution.

After Dan’s father passed away, he was drawn to the industry when he successfully managed his family’s finances while navigating the complexities of their estate. He pursued an economics degree and career in finance that he still has a passion for today. Specializing in retirement planning, Dan’s goals for his clients are to provide a financial road map and simplify their lives.

Trustworthy and loyal, Dan earned his Certified Financial Planner™ certification from the College for Financial Planning in 1987. He is also a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS®) and an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

A strong advocate for financial education, Dan believes it’s critical that clients fully understand the investment choices and strategies available to them. He is an instructor with the Financial Educators Network, teaching Retirement Planning Today™ with a focus on both life and retirement planning education at Raritan Valley Community College and Brookdale Community College. As an instructor of the Financial Educators Network, Dan has the support and resources of a network of instructors teaching classes through over 250 educational institutions nationwide.

Dan attended Hartwick College in New York after being awarded a four-year basketball scholarship. During his college career, Dan led his team to four consecutive NCAA Eastern Regionals and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1979. He began his financial services career in 1982, the same year he and his wife, Alix, were married. They have two grown children, John and Jessica, who are both wealth advisors with Foran Financial Group, providing continuity for the firm’s clients across multiple generations.

Originally from Waldwick, New Jersey, Dan lives in Spring Lake and enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, making wine, wind-surfing and reading when he’s not working or teaching. Much of his free time has been spent coaching school and community athletic programs, enabling him to combine a love of sports with his passion for community service.

about john:

With honesty and integrity, John strives to provide his clients with all of the tools and advice needed to help them effectively meet their personal and financial goals. Growing up in the business alongside his father, he appreciates the joy his father took in helping clients and also seeing how those relationships continue today. John enjoys working with his family and looks forward to coming to work every day to help our clients and their families.

John joined Foran Financial Group in 2009 as a wealth manager assistant, and the following year he became a wealth advisor and obtained his life and health insurance licenses, as well as his Series 7, 9, 10 and 66 registrations, which are held through Raymond James Financial Services. Continuing education and specialization is important to John, and he is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Certified Fund Specialist (CFS®) and a Chartered Special Needs Consultant, which allows him to professionally address and advise families with special needs children on how best to plan for that child’s future and beyond.

Graduating cum laude in 2008 from Washington & Jefferson College, John earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in economics, and lettered all four years in lacrosse. He continued his academic career at Villanova University, where he earned his master’s degree in history. John was inducted into the History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta, at both W&J and Villanova.

John and his college sweetheart, Staci, were married in 2012. Originally from Clinton Township, New Jersey, they live in Peapack and Gladstone, with their son, Luke, who was the first baby born at their local hospital on December 25, 2014. During his free time, John enjoys reading, traveling, surfing, snowboarding and hiking. He is looking forward to teaching his son to surf and snowboard and coaching him in lacrosse.

about jessica:

Jessica Weaver, CFP®, CDFA™, CFS® is a Wealth Advisor with Foran Financial Group Raymond James Financial Services and focuses her work on women. Her passion is helping women going through a major life transition so they come out stronger and more independent than ever with their life and money.

She has been an advisor with her father's team for over seven years, but during the past few years has transformed her work.  She finds happiness and satisfaction from helping women improve their relationship with money. Jess’s mission is to help more women gain control, clarity, and confidence over their finances and the next chapter of their life. She accomplishes this by hosting events throughout the year for women, writing her blog every other week, and now with her new #1 Best Selling book: Strong Woman Stronger Assets.  Jess just celebrated the one year anniversary of her blog: Not Your Father's Advisor in July of 2017.

about david:

David Selden joined Foran Financial and Raymond James in 2015. David is a 10 year veteran of the business who started his career in 2007 as a municipal and corporate bond specialist. Spending almost 5 years in the bond business, he learned a unique specialty of customizing fixed income portfolios.

In 2011, he moved on to open his own independent office of a large broker dealer. David started to build his business out to include financial planning, insurance, and general investment planning services. In 2015, the opportunity to join Dan Foran and Raymond James arose. He jumped on the opportunity and hasn’t looked back.

A 2007 Quinnipiac University graduate with a BS in finance, David lives in Lanoka Harbor, NJ with his wife Caitlin and there labradoodle Maci. He is an active member in the Forked River Rotary Club where he enjoys volunteering in the community. David also enjoys fishing, following the New York Giants and Yankees, the outdoors, and following directions from Caitlin.

about jennifer:

Jennifer joined Foran Financial Group in 2002. Jennifer is responsible for the day to day operations of the practice. Persistent and reliant, she manages office compliance, licensing and continuing education regulatory mandates. Jennifer is also in charge of public relations and marketing for the firm and offers notary services for our clients by appointment.

Prior to joining our team, she worked for a large communications firm and for Brother International Corporation. Jennifer graduated from Dominican College in Blauvelt, NY, earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Jennifer has two daughters, and is a former member of the local school board and the athletic board. Originally from Bergenfield, New Jersey, she now lives in Bridgewater, and enjoys coaching, traveling, skiing, reading and spending time with her family at the beach.

She aspires to help make things run smoothly for her colleagues and clients in order to make their lives a little easier.

Anne joined our team as a Client Services Manager in 2007. She is instrumental in providing quality support for our clients. Reliable and conscientious, she has extensive experience in back-office financial operations and administration, which helps provide our clients with exceptional service pertaining to investment accounts, annuities and insurance policies. She strives to help clients to feel confident that our services are fulfilling their investment and planning goals in every stage of life.

Anne also serves as an intermediary for Raymond James and our other custodial relationships for establishing and maintaining account management and facilitating client needs. Anne has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and holds an associate’s degree in accounting.

Anne has two grown children, and enjoys the time she spends with her family outside the office. In her spare time, she enjoys do-it-yourself projects and gardening. Anne is a former youth soccer and softball coach, as well as an adult member of Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey.

about diane:

Diane joined Foran Financial Group in 2007 as a Client Services Manager. She handles an assortment of daily operational tasks and works directly with clients to address their needs. Diane works closely with Raymond James back offices and other custodial companies to maintain client account management and facilitate client requests.

Prior to joining Foran Financial Group, Diane spent 10 years with AT&T/Lucent Technologies before taking time off to raise her child. She eventually re-entered the work force and spent several years in the education field. In addition, Diane was an executive member of the parent-school organization and continues to volunteer at her parish.

Diane received her bachelor’s degree in economics, graduating with honors from Rutgers University.

She and her husband live locally and have one daughter. In her spare time, Diane manages her husband’s business and enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time at the beach.

about bailey:

Bailey joined the Foran Financial Group in November 2012, working strictly on Wednesdays. She wears two hats by providing both office security and office entertainment. She is currently studying to overcome her strong desire to chew computer cords and furniture legs. Bailey has yet to make it through lunch without an afternoon siesta, but we are confident she will be able to secure our office once this is overcome. In her spare time, Bailey enjoys long walks, chewing leaves and following John around the office.

Following in Bailey’s big footsteps, Duke came on-board June 2013. Recently promoted to Public Relations Specialist, Duke manages to make all visitors feel welcome with his tail-wagging and kisses. A real go-getter, Duke retrieves anything that he can fit in his mouth and carry. This dapper dog has rid the office of all unnecessary wires and power cords, emphasizing office efficiency thus boosting productivity. In his spare time, Duke enjoys hiding bones, playing fetch and taking long naps on Jessica while she works at her desk.
